The World Music Celebration
An interacive, musical celebration of world cultures and ethnic diversity!
This enrichment assembly never fails to blow away teachers and students! During the 45 minute world music concert by renowned musician, Guy Louis, students will explore cultures from around the globe, see exotic instruments, and get a chance for hands-on participation in the show.
The show is stimulating and interactive, with incredible instruments from Native America (Drums, Shakers, Whistle), Africa (drums, Hands on instruments), European Renaissance (15 string Renaissance Loot), India (Tamboura, 20 string Sitar), and Modern America (electric guitar). Additionally, students participate in traditional call and response singing and a rockin' musical "free-for-all".
Themes of cultural appreciation, diversity, and celebration a world of different ideas are blended throughout the show.
In addition to in-school assemblies, The World Music Celebration also is rockin' good entertainment for family nights and "international nights".

More about The World Music Celebration...
The World Music Celebration has been presented in schools across Michigan and Illinois for many seasons. It is a polished and professional presentation that you will be proud to have as part of your enrichment curriculum.
The musician, Guy Louis, brings all the sound equipmeent and instruments needed to put on the show. He does request that you supply a few tables (standard foldling tables or "lunch room" tables are fine) for his set-up. Otherwise, there is nothing that you need to worry about once you have the assembly program scheduled.
As with all of our programs, we do provide price breaks for Illinois and Michigan schools who can schedule their program on a date when the presenter will already be in your area, or if you can coordinate your enrichment program booking with another school in your city / district.
Other school programs about community and cultural celebrations, include: Social Studies Blast (an interactive game show), and Harpbeat Around The World (a musical concert for younger grades).
