The Harpbeat of America

Harpbeat of America allows your students to experience the USA through music - the true measure of the USA's times and people. From Yankee Doodle to Motown, students will participate in fun and energetic renditions of familiar songs about America, as well as music that came from different regions of the USA. Students explore many aspects of United States history and social studies - from Native Americans to Martin Luther King Jr to the diversity of the "melting pot".

Harpbeat's music features the talents of Donna Novack playing the harp like you have never heard (Motown on a harp...you bet!). The songs are accompanied by lively and energetic background music....as well as some instrumental solos by student volunteers. In addition to classic songs about America and it's history, the Harpbeat of America assembly program includes some original songs from Harpbeat's two award-winning children's CDs.
